A husky, a large sled dog kept by a resident surnamed Su in Dalian, Liaoning Province, has often been mistaken for a wolf by locals, and the misidentification has caused much discussion.
Some local residents searched for the "wolf" for days, with a few even recording the dog's howl. The "wolf" has even grabbed headlines in the local newspaper.
After reading the newspaper last Thursday, Su provided the explanation. The dog's size and the similarity between its howl and that of a wolf were why it was mistaken repeatedly, the keeper said.
