A man's dog saved his life last week in Jiamusi, Heilongjiang Province, when he fell asleep on his sofa after putting a pot of water on his gas stove to boil.

    Su's dog woke him up by barking after the pot had boiled over and extinguished the flame, filling his home with gas.

　　He went to hospital for a check-up. A doctor told Su he would have died from poisoning had his dog not woken him up.
